“तंग गलियों के मोड़ जैसे, टेढ़े-मेढ़े हैं सारे,
घाट के पानी जैसे सीधे, सादे-सच्चे बेचारे।
सुबह की अस्सी की चाय सी, इनकी हर इक कहानी,
रंग में घुले बनारसियो... ओ बनारसियो!”

Finally, the kitchen battle-ignited by the "Not-So-MasterChef" Goenka men-came to an end. Now, it was time for the grand arrival of the food.
"Mumma, yaarrr! Mujhe bohot bhook lagi hai... Aaj kuch khaane ko milega ki nahi?" Naira complained, finally setting her phone aside and looking at Pooja.
"Haan... bhai, le aaye hum log khaana," Sanjay announced, wiping his hands on his apron with a satisfied grin.
"Tujhe din bhar bas thusna hi hota hai kya? Haan, suariya kahin ki?" Vansh chimed in, maintaining his typical, teasing Vansh Goenka attitude.
"Kya hai tujhe?! Tera toh nahi khaa rahi na?! Aur tu hoga suar!" Naira snapped back, stepping off her chair to peek into the bowls settling on the dining table.
"Woowwwwww..." Naira gasped, inhaling the tempting aroma of the freshly prepared feast. "Bhaiyya, by God, kya bawal khaana banaya hai aap logo ne!" she cheered, clapping her hands in sheer excitement.
"Haan... lag toh accha raha hai, dekhne mein bhi aur smell se bhi," Rashi agreed, placing the remaining serving bowls and cutlery onto the table.
"Haan, then chalo, kiska wait ho raha hai?" Pankaj said, settling into his assigned chair.
"Haan haan... bhai, bohot bhook lagi hai. Mere pet mein toh, by God, chimpanzees kood rahe hai!" Vansh joked, rubbing his stomach and making everyone burst into laughter.
And just like that, the entire Goenka family dove into their Sunday Special Meal.
Between the rich, delicious butter paneer and warm naan, the most beautiful ingredient on the table was the pure love poured into the food by the Goenka men's for their loved ones..

Meanwhile at the Malhan Residence...
Maira was standing in front of her full-length mirror, anxiously examining her reflection.
"Di... yaar, dekh na, yeh sahi lag raha hai na?" Maira asked Priyanka, who was comfortably lounging on the sofa, munching on chips.
"Haan... bhai, yaar sahi hai. Kitni baar puchegi?" Priyanka replied, tossing another chip into her mouth.
"Bhyiii... mujhe bohot darr lag raha hai," Maira finally confessed, her voice dropping.
"Aur woh kyun?!" Priyanka and Ruhi asked in unison, looking up.
"Yaar... itne time se main kisi aur school mein thi, and now, just for two years, mujhe iss naye school mein jaana pad raha hai. Iss liye..." Maira said, unconsciously playing with the edge of her t-shirt.
"Arrey... Mairu baccha, dekh, it's just a matter of two years na, baba," Priyanka said. She finally set her bag of chips aside, turning on her full "elder sister" mode.
"And who knows? Tereko waha par tera koi purana friend mil jaaye..." she added, gently caressing Maira's hair.
"Haan, Di, aap tension kyun le rahe ho? Waha par main aur Kairav bhaiya bhi toh rahenge na!" Ruhi chimed in, her tone characteristically simple, calm, and sweet.
"Aur nahi toh kya!" Priyanka said, playfully smacking Maira's back to instantly lift the mood.
"And waise bhi, kal ki tension lene waalo mein se toh tu hai nahi. Aur rahi baat tension ki, toh woh tere new school waalo ko leni chahiye... because they don't have even a one percent idea ki unke school mein kaunsa bomb aa raha hai!" Priyanka joked, making everyone in the room laugh like idiots.
"Haan, baat toh aapki sahi hai... 100 taka sahi!" Maira agreed, her laughter ringing out louder.
And just like that, the three sisters enjoyed their sweet little quality time together.
By 4:00 pm, Disha's voice echoed form downstairs...
"Priyanka! Jaa, Maira ko leke uski uniform ki fitting check karke le jaa," Disha called out, finally settling onto the couch after finishing up her leftover chores.
"Haan, mummy! Abhi jaati hoon, bas das minute," Priyanka replied from her room.
"Haan, thik hai," Disha said, switching on the TV to watch her favorite show.
Inside the bedroom..
Priyanka was dressed in elegant grey denim jeans paired with a red floral top, her hair tied up in a perfectly messy bun.
"Chalo bhai, mera toh ho gaya. Kitni hi sundar hoon yaar main!" Priyanka admired herself in the mirror, smiling at her own reflection.
A soft knock came at the door.
"Haan aaja"..priyanka said without even looking up, knowing who exactly it was.
And there she stood -Maira
She looked beautiful in a bright baby- pink milkmade dress that hugged her curves perfectly. Her hair was woven into a neat braid, adorned with hell all time favorite, pookie bunny hairclips.
"Chalein di?"..maida asked softly, stepping a little further into the room.
"Haan chl chl,..wrna late hogye toh maa bhaut maarne waali hai hamlog ko"..priyanka said giving herself one last look in the mirror before grabbing her scooty keeya and handbag.
Downstairs again, they headed for the exit..
"Mummy hamlog jaa rhe hai,..6 he tak aa jaenge Ohk?!"... Priyanka informed Disha while slipping in her shoes.
"Haan, or time se aana or paise leke jaana"..disha replied, looking over both her daughters.
"Haan mummy le liye hai, or isko bhi leke Jaa rhi mai,"..priyanka teased pointing towards maira, who is now leaning against the main gate's doorframe.
"Haan toh kya?! Jiska uniform lene Jaa rhi ussi ko na leke jaegi?"..Disha retorted, giving priyanka the ultimate"Indian - Mom " look, which made maira chuckle.
"Arryyy mummy .... anyways mai jaa rhi hu ...Byeee.."priyanka laughed finally steeping out of the house.
"Haan bye, dhyan se jana"..Disha called out waving goodbye to her daughters.
With that, maira and Priyanka hopped onto the scooty and hit the road heading straight towards the uniform shop.

At the uniform shop....
Priyanka and Maira finally reached the shop after dealing with so much traffic and the ups and downs of the not-so-good Banaras roads.
"Lo bhai, finally pahunch gaye..." Priyanka said while turning the scooty keys to shut it off and removing her helmet.
"Dii yrr, itna traffic! Mera toh dimaag hi kharab ho gaya tha. Ekdum se matlab itna traffic toh apne Udaipur mein bhi nahi tha yrr..." Maira said while getting off from the backseat of the scooty.
"Haan, ab kar bhi kya sakte hain yrr iss mein hum log? After all, it's because of our typical family problems..." Priyanka said while finally getting off the driver's seat and tucking the keys into her pocket.
"Chalo... warna late ho jayenge. Already it's 5:30. Late ho gaye toh mummy bahut sunayengi..." Priyanka said while walking towards the shop with Maira beside her.
"Hmm... chalo di..." Maira said while casually walking and looking around at new things.
Inside the shop.......
Aao aao, Priyanka beta... badi late aaye ho tum log..." the shopkeeper said while pressing some clothes.
"Itni deri se kaise aana hua?! Hume laga tha ki tum log aaoge hi nahi..." he continued.
"Haan uncle, woh jis maharani ka uniform hai, unhe yaad ho tab na..." Priyanka said while side-glancing at Maira, who was now looking everywhere except Priyanka.
"Areyy... uncle, aap uniform de do fatafat se..." Maira said while walking towards the counter.
"Haan haan beta, aao pehle ek baar naap lo jaake..." the shopkeeper said while keeping the pressed clothes aside.
"Lo beta, jao ek baar dekh lo, fitting sahi hai na?! Maine toh waise hi kiya tha jaise tumne diya tha... aur ek baar phir bhi tum dekh lo beta..." the shopkeeper said while handing the uniform to Maira.
"Ji uncle, main jaati hoon..." Maira said politely and walked towards the changing room.

After some time, Maira returned from the changing room with the uniform in her hand.
"Sahi se fit ho gaya?!" Priyanka asked Maira with concern, looking all over her face.
"Haan di, ekdum perfect!!" Maira said while handing the clothes back to the shopkeeper.
"Chalo beta, tab sahi hai... main pack karke deta hoon abhi bas..." the shopkeeper said while neatly putting the uniform into a packet.
"Lo beta, ho gaya..." the shopkeeper said and handed the bag to Priyanka.
"Ji uncle, lijiye paise..." Priyanka said while handing the total amount to the shopkeeper, offering a polite smile.
"Haanji beta ji... aate rehna na... aur kal ke liye all the best, Maira beta..." the shopkeeper said and gave a sweet smile to both Maira and Priyanka.
"Thank you, uncle..." Maira said and returned the gesture.
And just like that, both the girls left the shop and headed towards their scooty.

"Oyy, sunn?!" Priyanka said while putting her helmet back on.
"Kya hua?!" Maira said while sitting on the backseat.
"Abhi thoda time hai, toh kya bolti hai? Golgappe khayegi?!" Priyanka asked Maira while looking through the rear-view mirror.
"Yrr... yeh bhi koi poochne ki baat hai? Of course khaungi!" Maira said while smiling like a child who had found a room full of chocolates.
"Haan... khaane ko toh tu always ready hi rehti hai..." Priyanka said while turning the keys and starting the scooty.
"Aur nahi toh kya, behen kiski hoon!!" Maira said while smirking.
"Haan beta..." Priyanka replied while laughing through her words.
And just like that, both the sisters reached their destination while sharing the sweet-and-sour bond of two sisters, finding little moments of happiness in golgappas and late-evening drives.

Back at Goenka Villah....
After a delicious and hearty lunch, all the siblings gathered in their absolute favorite spot in the house.
And whose room could it possibly be? Of course, it was Kunal's room.
"Tum sab mere room mein kisi dukaan ke store room ke unwanted saman ki tarah kyun pade hue ho?!" Kunal asked his siblings, who were currently making themselves at home as if they owned the place.
"Arrey, bhaiya, just take a chill pill!" Vansh said, sprawled out on Kunal's couch like a mermaid on her own private island.
"Haan, suar, tu toh bolega hi... jalpariyon ki tarah mere couch pe pasra jo pada hai!" Kunal said, making the most annoyed, dramatic face he could manage.
"Arrey, bhai, aaram karo na. Itna gussa mat karo, already Banaras mein bahut garmi hai," Naira said, having somehow managed to squeeze herself into Kunal's "too big" massaging chair.
"Haan, beta, tum pehle khud ko meri chair se utaaro, phir baat karta hoon tumse main," Kunal said with a completely straight face.
"Arrey, bhai, aap itna tension mat lo. Main bolta hoon in sabko jaane ko, aur main khud bhi jaata hoon," Kartik said, starting to get up from his spot.
"Arrey arrryyy, chhor, jaane de. Koi na, tum logon ko jhelna hi likha hai meri life mein," Kunal sighed, looking at his siblings.
"Haan, haan, dekh rahe ho na inko? Humse tang bhi hain, aur hamare bina guzara bhi nahi hai inka!" Vansh joked, laughing as he settled even more comfortably into the couch cushions.
"Haan, haan, chal chal, jalpara..." Kunal teased, breaking into a laugh that instantly set off everyone else in the room.
"Bhaiyaaa!" Vansh whined dramatically.
"Anyways, guys, abhi chalo. Sab apne apne remaining works karlo. Kal se school jaana hai, yaad hai na? Sunday vacation is over now," Kartik announced, successfully catching everyone's attention.
"Haan, bhaiya, maaloom hai," Naira and Vansh groaned in unison.
"Hmm," Kartik nodded, before turning back to Kunal. "Aur bhaiya, aapko bhi kal college jaana hai na?!"
"Haan, jaana toh hai, warna ab papa bahut maarenge mujhko," Kunal said, looking at Kartik with a sigh.
"Toh batao, aap bhi yahi baith ke pichle teen ghante se timepass kar rahe ho! Chalo, aap bhi apna assignment karo. Utho, chalo!" Kartik commanded playfully.
"Haan, haan, baba ji," Kunal replied, raising his joined hands in a mock namaste above his head.
"Jo bhi ho," Kartik said while rolling his eyes.
"Inka kuch nahi ho sakta... inko bhejo abhi ke abhi NDA mein koi," Vansh muttered cheekily, which earned him a metal-melting death glare from Kartik.
And just like that, their brotherhood bonding time drew to a close, transforming seamlessly into a full-focus study session.

Meanwhile,in Maira's room...
Late at night, when the rest of the house was fast asleep, our great Maira Ma'am was fighting her own personal World War.
"Bhai... yeh mummy ne mere black shoes kaha rakh diye ab?!" Maira muttered to herself, peeking frantically into yet another shoe box.
"Bhai... yahan bhi nahi hai. Jagab haal hai ekdum se.." she groaned, staring intently at the pile of boxes as if the shoes might somehow grow legs and walk out on their own.
Suddenly, there was a soft knock at the door.
"Mai aa jaau?!" someone asked from outside.
"Haan yaar, aao aap! Pooch kya rahe ho?" Maira called out, sitting cross-legged on the floor right in the middle of the chaos.
"Baap re... Maira! What is this, yaar?" Priyanka gasped, completely shocked by the absolute disaster zone greeting her.
"Di, dekho na, mere shoes nahi mil rahe..." Maira said, genuinely on the verge of tears.
"Arrey, toh mummy se pooch le na, simple!" Priyanka suggested, stepping carefully into the room.
"Achha? Agar main abhi gayi na unse poochne, toh woh mera hi shoes banake mujhe pehna dengi," Maira said, pulling a hilariously dramatic face.
"Achha, achha, ruk. I'll help you," Priyanka smiled, heading toward one of the unsearched boxes.
"Di, yaar, nahi mila toh mummy bahut maarengi..." Maira whined, rummaging through another pile.
"Nahi maarengi, main hoon na," Priyanka reassured her, pulling open a large box.
"Par Di, mu-" Before Maira could even finish her sentence, Priyanka interrupted her.
"Mil gaya!" Priyanka announced triumphantly, lifting the black shoes high into the air like a champion holding up a trophy.
"Wowww! Di, you are the best!" Maira cheered, clapping her hands in sheer relief because she was officially safe from her mom's wrath.
"I know, I am," Priyanka smirked, flipping her hair with one hand like a Bollywood heroine posing for the paparazzi.
"Thanks, Di!" Maira said, giving Priyanka a warm side-hug.
"Achha, chal chal, ab sab ho gaya na?!" Priyanka asked.
"Haan Di, bas yahi shoes bache the," Maira replied, taking them from Priyanka and placing them neatly on the shoe stand.
"Chal tab, sahi hai. Par..." Priyanka trailed off, hanging the last word in the air like a falling leaf.
"Par kya, Di?!" Maira asked, confused.
"Par yeh ki... tune yeh jo World War 3 rachaya hai, uske baad tu soyegi kahan?!" Priyanka asked, gesturing to the absolute mess covering the bed and floor.
"Haan... woh toh hai," Maira mumbled, genuinely debating whether she should clean the room or just sleep right there in the middle of the mess.
"Chal, mere saath soja aaj, aur kya?!" Priyanka said, turning back toward the door.
"Hai, sacchi?!" Maira asked, unable to believe that her sister-who usually got annoyed so easily-was actually offering to share her bed.
"Haan, meri maa! Itna toh kar hi sakti hoon main!" Priyanka said with a playful wink, making Maira burst into a small laugh.
"Hmm, hmm... kyun nahi!" Maira smiled, quickly following Priyanka out of the room.
And just like that, another chaotic day came to an end as the two sisters headed off to sleep together.
